Open K-1 Reading Intervention Program Built on MediaWiki

eSchool News has an interesting article up today about the State of Florida's endorsement of Freereading.net's K-1 reading intervention program. Freedreading.net includes reading materials and other resources all licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike license, meaning that they can be used for free by any interested school or individual. Of particular interest is their Intervention A reading intervention program for children K-1 programs.

It's great to see what looks like an excellent collection of resources being made available in the public domain. What's especially interesting is that the whole website seems to be built on MediaWiki, the same wiki package that powers wikipedia.
